PacMon is a side project I started in late 2022 for me to upload my electronic remixes and mashups. When I had started at Fanshawe College in the Music Industry Arts program, I had gotten imposter syndrome to the point I had stopped writing lyrics or even wanting to record vocals. While I was avoiding doing vocals for my Monsey discography, I had still been producing a lot and practicing new things I had learned from my program. Around this time the dariacore/hyperflip scene was taking off and had grabbed my interest. There was something so intriguing about how fast and glitchy the music was that it immediately stuck to me and made me want to give it a try. I had liked a good amount of electronic music growing up (mostly including brostep, drumstep, trap, future rave, etc.) but had always seemed impossible to me as someone with very minimal sound design experience at the time. My previous inspirations and this new sound gave me inspiration to start producing tracks like "DreamageTeen" and "things just got a lot more sicko". After I produced those two tracks, I knew I wanted to do a project in this style of music. I put together 4 older remixes I had done during that summer and released it as "vol. 1" as I produced more and more songs to focus on my main project "vol. 2". The first volume was less focused and very basic, mostly showing off songs I had a liking towards and the roots of this journey. "vol. 2" was very clearly inspired by the dariacore/hyperflip scene and was released a little over 3 months after the first single was made and released. The deluxe edition named "vol. 2.5" would release 2 months later including the "brakence - fwb" remix and 2 alternate mixes of songs from vol. 2 including samples from Noah Gazmen's newest album at the time "GIrlish". While I was happy with the music at the time and seeing my progress, my next project was more ambitious than these last two. "vol. 3" was a more intentional and more personal project for me containing remixes I had made for mostly my friends and some artists I enjoyed listening to myself. While "vol. 1" was mostly throwaways I had used for learning and "vol. 2" was an attempt at a dariacore-inspired project, "vol. 3" was going to be intentional, collaborative, and an exploration to my own sound in this scene. The third volume had released and it truly felt like I had finally gotten to a place I was happy with in the scene and at a point production-wise I was happy with myself. After the 2023 holidays, I had gotten back to work with the intention of going into 2024 focused on Monsey music, however I wasn't ready yet. I had some ideas I came up with during Christmas eve for a PacMon song which turned into "get CAGED". This hardstyle sounding song made me feel like I had already stepped up my technical skills from "vol. 3", which then grabbed my attention again, distracting from the Monsey page once more. I had no intention of making a "vol. 4" but I was still producing music for PacMon. Each song had felt more unique from the last and like the best stuff I've done, so it was ready for the page. Releasing in 2024 mid-May as an ep named "nocnitsa", I probably would still consider this my favourite project of mine today (08-31-2025). It feels the most like me. I had released a collaboration ep later that year for PIXUR containing previous remixes I had made for him (including an updated mix of the song "sane" featured on vol. 3), as well as singles like "you know me as the rizzler" and "I can't put down the cup" which both blew up at the end of the year and the start of 2025. PacMon has been my second priority behind Monsey as of 2025 finally. While I do not plan on quitting the PacMon page, I have to say I am very happy to be back in the flow of releasing original music under Monsey. I picked up a lot of useful skills that has been helping me with my Monsey stuff and I still enjoy a good amount of the music I released under PacMon, even if I only really like stuff from "vol. 3" and after now since the stuff before doesn't sound developed like it is now.
